Happy Easter!

That’s it Mummy’s and Daddy’s, the Easter Holidays have officially begun! If like many other parents, two whole weeks with your little chicks seems like a bit of a stretch we’re going to be posting throughout the Easter Break with our top tips for fun day’s out and Easter activities you can try at home to break up your days and keep those little ones entertained.

Easter weekend can be pretty full on with so much choice for things to do. Here are our top 3 choices for an Eggtastic day out in and around the Lothians.

1. Gorgie City Farm is a firm favourite with my kids. They have lot’s of fun things to do over the Easter Weekend including collecting your own eggs from the chicken coup to then paint and decorate. You even get to pet the Hen’s afterwards to say thank you for your eggs! Cuteness overload.

2. Dalkeith Country Park has an organised hunt with lot’s of fun Easter themed activities to keep your kids entertained for the day. You can even squeeze in a visit to their awesome gift shop (Restoration Yard) to treat yourself while you’re there!
Free with entry to Fort Douglas.

Tanya Frater (one of our super Baby Matters consultants) recommends the Easter Egg hunt at the House of Binns. Perfect for older children with lot’s of hilly outdoor space to run off that chocolate egg energy! Lovely views over the forth and just the right amount of clues to keep the kids engaged long enough to finish the hunt without getting fed up or cold.
